Our client, who found us through our glowing Google reviews, approached us with a vision to transform their backyard into a vibrant space for entertaining, relaxation, and to nix a big bug problem that put a damper on outdoor hangs. Before the renovation, the backyard was underutilized, plagued by pests, and lacked shade or rain cover for their hot tub. It was, in essence, a blank canvas prime for a significant transformation.

They envisioned a space that would bring family and friends together, offering comfort, style, and versatility. The aim was to turn the backyard into a central hub for gatherings.

The standout features of this project were the beautifully crafted summer kitchen, perfect for outdoor cooking, and the replacement of the ceilings with stunning tongue and groove cedar planks. Additionally, the Azenco Motorized smart pergola was a key element, providing the client with much-needed rain protection and shade.

This full outdoor renovation was extensive, involving a range of best-in-industry materials and sophisticated features. This project included:

A 20x20 Mansard screen enclosure with No-See-Um screen and upgraded doors featuring stainless screws.
A concrete footer and 15x18 brick pavers laid out to define the space.
The installation of an Azenco Pergola equipped with smart wind and rain sensors, ensuring automatic adjustments for optimal comfort.
Spot footers, fan beams, and can lights for enhanced ambiance and functionality.
An L-shaped kitchen outfitted with top-of-the-line Blaze Appliances, including a fridge, trash can, sink, grill, side burners, and access doors.
The kitchen was faced with Triton Mix Marble Ledger stone and topped with Ubatuba Granite, adding elegance and durability.
Cedar tongue and groove ceiling replaced the existing one, elevating the aesthetic appeal.

THE SPACE BEFORE:

The project presented unique challenges, particularly in providing a roofing solution that balanced light admission with rain protection. The Azenco motorized pergola was the perfect solution! Another challenge was integrating the pergola into the screened enclosure to ensure continuous bug protection, regardless of whether the pergola was open or closed. This required custom framing to accommodate the screen.
