What Our Clients Think

"Impact enclosures didn't disappoint. They weren't the highest price and definitely not the lowest but just right. Holly Hull did an amazing job with virtual design and walked me through the entire design process. From the sod remover, concrete guys, enclosure guy (Jimmy), management, and finishing- I would highly recommend them. I am a very picky person and they made me very happy that I decided to use Impact Enclosures. Even with a few items that had to be adjusted post-construction, they were spot on with communication and making sure it got done. If you are shopping around for an enclosure and not interested in spending Pratt Guy prices or worried about Chuck in a Truck not showing up, I would highly recommend you speak with Ryan/Eric/Justin and most importantly Holly! Grab life by the horns and let Impact do the rest!"

Pros of Wood Pergolas

  • Aesthetic Appeal: Natural, classic look that enhances any garden or yard
  • Versatility: Can be easily customized with paint or stain
  • Temperature Regulation: Wood stays cooler in the sun compared to metal

Cons of Wood Pergolas

Aluminum pergolas bring that sleek, modern flair to your outdoor space. They're tough as nails and pretty much laugh in the face of bad weather. Perfect if you want something that looks sharp and requires minimal fuss.

Pros of Aluminum Pergolas

Where Should You Build Your Pergola?

Whether you want it to be an extension of your cozy indoor space or a standalone sanctuary in your garden, the location you pick will make a big difference. The right placement can enhance your outdoor living experience, provide the perfect amount of shade, and create an inviting atmosphere for gatherings and relaxation.

Let's break down the options for attached and freestanding pergolas to help you figure out which one suits your style and needs best.

Attached Pergola in Jacksonville

Attached Pergolas

Attached pergolas are the perfect way to blur the lines between indoors and outdoors. By connecting directly to your home, they create a seamless transition that’s both stylish and practical.

Pros of Attached Pergolas

  • Enhanced Living Space: Think of it as adding an outdoor living room. It extends your indoor space, making it perfect for al fresco dining or just hanging out.
  • Ease of Access: Super convenient for those impromptu outdoor dinners or late-night stargazing sessions. You can pop in and out of the house without any hassle.
  • Structural Support: Having a pergola attached to your home could offer more sturdiness, especially if you're not working with a contractor that ensures durability or if it's a DIY job.
  • More Space: Choosing an attached pergola eliminates extra posts, which means more space, as well as less obstruction of view and access.

Cons of Attached Pergolas

  • Limited Placement: The space that's available to place your pergola might not fit how you'd like to use it or your aesthetic preferences.
  • Potential Home Impact: Any tweaks or repairs to the pergola could affect your home’s exterior, turning a simple fix into a bigger project

Freestanding Pergolas

Freestanding pergolas offer a whole new world of possibility. They can be placed just about anywhere, giving you the ultimate flexibility to create your dream outdoor space.

Pros of Freestanding Pergolas

  • Flexible Placement: Want it over by the pool? Or maybe in that quiet corner of the garden? You got it. The sky’s the limit with placement options.
  • Design Versatility: They can be the star of your backyard show. Whether it’s a garden centerpiece or a cozy nook, freestanding pergolas could offer more creativity in terms of landscaping and other aspects.
  • Independent Structure: No need to worry about your house’s structure. These pergolas stand on their own, making installation less complex.

Cons of Freestanding Pergolas

  • Stability Concerns: They need a solid foundation and extra support to handle the elements, especially if you live in a windy or rainy area. However, this won't be an issue when you hire the right team for the job.

Fixed Pergolas

R-BREEZE™ fixed pergolas are your classic, sturdy structures that provide a permanent feature in your outdoor area. They offer consistent shade and a reliable space for relaxation and entertainment.

Pros of R-Breeze™ Fixed Pergolas

  • Materials Available: Fixed pergolas could be made in any material, such as wood, vinyl, and metal
  • Low Maintenance: With no moving parts, fixed pergolas require less upkeep, making them a hassle-free option.
  • Lower Cost: Its basic, low-tech design requires much less upfront costs.

Cons of R-Breeze™ Fixed Pergolas

  • Limited Shade: Fixed pergolas offer consistent shade, but you can’t adjust the amount of sunlight or shade as needed.
  • Exposure to the Elements: A fixed pergola doesn't offer much in terms of protection from rain and when the sun is at a certain angle.
