Creating a Custom Outdoor Escape with Unmatched Views
This homeowner reached out to Impact Enclosures as a referral from not one, but two satisfied clients we had previously worked with—a clear sign that our work leaves a lasting impression.
The homeowners already had a beautiful pool and deck setup but faced a few obstacles that were dampening their outdoor enjoyment. They wanted some extra shade, a way to keep bugs and debris out, and rain protection for their outdoor furniture, without sacrificing their gorgeous golf course view.
Impact Enclosures created a customized, all-in-one solution that brought them shade, bug protection, and a way to control their view—all without compromising the aesthetics. As for the homeowner’s reaction? Let’s just say they were beyond thrilled—and while we can’t exactly quote the enthusiastic (and colorful) words from their thank-you video, we think it’s safe to say they were head-over-heels with the final result!

The Best Materials for Beauty and Durability
To bring this vision to life, Impact Enclosures went all out with top-quality materials and cutting-edge products.
First, we installed an Azenco motorized pergola equipped with both wind and rain sensors, ensuring that the homeowner’s space stays comfortable in all types of weather. When rain is detected, the pergola’s louvers automatically close to protect furniture from getting soaked. During high winds, the louvers open to allow airflow, preventing pressure buildup and creating a sturdy, safe structure.
We also used Magnatrack retractable screens on the back wall, which allowed the homeowner to retract the screens fully for an open view of the golf course or bring them down for a cozy, bug-free experience. The entire enclosure featured an aluminum expanded view pool enclosure design with Superscreen screens, specifically chosen for their durability and ability to span large distances without tearing or breaking.
With these materials, we were able to give the homeowner a space that met their every need while maintaining the stylish, modern look they wanted.
TACKLING UNIQUE CHALLENGES WITH INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS
This project came with its fair share of unique challenges, but Impact Enclosures was more than prepared to handle them all with creative, practical solutions.
One major obstacle was the long back wall, which needed to span considerable distances without additional supports that would obstruct the view. Our solution? Over-engineering the carry beam and posts to add the needed strength and stability while keeping the view completely open.
Another challenge was integrating multiple rooflines seamlessly. To ensure a uniform height across the entire enclosure, we built several riser walls, creating a clean, cohesive look without compromising structural integrity.
Bug control was another priority, but the homeowners didn’t want a view-obstructing wall. We solved this with Magnatrack retractable screens for the back wall, giving them the option to open up the space entirely or close it for a pest-free environment.
Finally, managing water drainage across the complex roof structure was critical. We addressed this by installing a 7” super gutter with oversized downspouts strategically placed to handle the water flow from multiple rooflines efficiently. With these solutions, we overcame each challenge, delivering a result that exceeded expectations.
